Do you struggle to keep track of your child's school meal account?  Do your children show up for school and find they have no money for lunch?

Donegal School District Food Service Department is offering online access to to all parents/guardians in the district.  The system allows you to:

  • make credit/debit card payments directly into your child's meal account

  • check their account balance

  • view meal activity

  • receive low balance alerts at home

Online meal payments are available to your child within 10 minutes of entering a payment!  If you choose to use the system for credit or debit card payments, a fee of $2.85 per transaction is charged.  If you choose to continue to pay by cash or check, there will be no transaction fee.

There is no fee to check account balances, view meal activity or receive low balance alerts.  We hope the service enhances your ability to manage your child's school meal account.


Q: How does work?

A: On a secure website, you can establish a free account and enter payments to your child's school meal account, using a Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit or debit card.  Payments are received directly into the school's point of service system.

Q: How do I sign up?

A: When you visit, simply click under the "Parents Sign Up Now".  After you complete a simple web form, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail.  Follow the directions in the e-mail and you will be logged in and ready to mange your child's account.

Q:  How will I benefit from

A: You won't be left to wonder if the check or cash you sent to school actually made it to school (or perhaps was left in a book bag for two weeks!).  Online payments may be done anytime, from any internet computer.  The funds are automatically deposited into your child's E-Trition account at the you the peace of mind knowing that your child will get the school meals he/she needs.

Q: How soon after making an online credit will the money be available to my child? 

A: 10 minutes

Q: Can I also use to check my child's meal account balance?

A: Yes, balances are updated every 10 minutes.  There is no fee to check meal transactions or account balances as often as you like.

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?

A: Credit and debit cards carrying the Visa, MasterCard and Discover logos are accepted.

Q: How do I know the site is secure?

A: The site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.  Your credit card information is protected by the most sophisticated internet security available (secure-socket layer with 128-bit digital encryption).

We use payment gateway partners that are worldwide leaders in secure web commerce to process payments.  We also use a Comodo security certificate that guarantees the transactions for up to $10,000.  You can click on the TrustLogo to verify that you are actually using the web site.  Also, your credit card information is never shared with the school's E-Trition system.

Q: Will you sell my information?

A: No. Our privacy Policy (available on the web site) prohibits this.

Q: What do you do with my information?

A: We use it only to receive credit card payments for your child's meal account.   

Q: What is the convenience fee?

A: Donegal School District charges a convenience fee to cover the normal cost of processing credit card transactions and other costs associated with maintaining a merchant account.

The flat fee is $2.85 which is clearly identified on the online credit screen prior to your approval.  The fee is included in your total transaction; it is not deducted from the amount of your payment. You can be sure the entire credit amount will be added to your student's meal account.

Q: If a parent pays for more than one student at the same time, is that considered two transactions?

A: No, a single transaction may include payments to two or more students in the same district.

Q: I forgot my password.  How do I get a new one?

A: When you register, you will provide a secret answer to a question.  Go to the registration page, fill in your e-mail address and secret answer, and click the "Submit" button.  An e-mail will be sent to you with your new password.

Q: I have other questions.  Who can answer them?

A: The cafeteria manager at your child's school is the best resource.  On the site, this person's name, telephone number and a link to their e-mail are shown.  Also, be sure to use the Parent User Manual, available on the website by clicking the "Click Here" button beneath "Parents Sign Up Now".

Please note there is no toll-free telephone line.
